A book club for those just learning to read! This week, we are reading 'Splat the Cat: Up in the Air at the Fair' by Rob Scotton.
Each week from April to mid-May, we will meet to read and discuss a book from the I Can Read! series. I Can Read! books are specifically crafted for children learning to read. Register to pick up a book in advance for your child to practice before book club, or read it for the first time at the program. The books are theirs to keep! If your child is hesitant to join in reading aloud, they are welcome to pass and just listen to others read. After we read, we will complete an activity while we discuss the book.

Splat the Cat: Up in the Air at the Fair
Splat, Spike and Plank cannot wait to go to the fair. But when Kitten cannot come, the friends are determined to bring her back the perfect gift. Beginning readers will delight in Splat's hilarious attempts to find the perfect present. Readers will not even know they are learning as they have fun with the "-air" sound.
This project was made possible in part by the Institute of Museum and Library Services and the Kentucky Department for Libraries and Archives.
