A book club for those just learning to read! This week, we are reading 'Pete the Cat and the Bad Banana' by James Dean and Kimberly Dean.
Each week from April to mid-May, we will meet to read and discuss a book from the I Can Read! series. I Can Read! books are specifically crafted for children learning to read. Register to pick up a book in advance for your child to practice before book club, or read it for the first time at the program. The books are theirs to keep! If your child is hesitant to join in reading aloud, they are welcome to pass and just listen to others read. After we read, we will complete an activity while we discuss the book.
Pete the Cat and the Bad Banana
Pete the Cat bites into a bad banana and decides that he never, ever wants to eat another banana again. But Pete really likes bananas! Will a rotten bite ruin Pete's love for this tasty fruit?
