Fishing for The Future with the Newport Aquarium

The Newport Aquarium will be visiting to talk about unsafe fishing practices and how it affects our oceans, and will bring a shark ambassador.

Join us at the Cold Spring Branch as the Newport Aquarium will come out to speak about how poor fishing practices can greatly impact the health of the ocean and cause fluctuations in fish populations.  Patrons will learn about unsafe fishing practices and work in teams to explore how to make fishing more sustainable.  There will also be a shark ambassador for everyone to meet and learn about!  Register now as spots are limited.

This program will be brought to you by Newport Aquarium WAVE Foundation.  WAVE Foundation partners with Newport Aquarium to educate our community about the amazing wildlife and science behind our aquatic world. Our professional educators make incredible memories by connecting our community with animal ambassadors.  WAVE programs expand access and increase the footprint of Newport Aquarium by bringing the ocean to people like you!
