How to Keep House While Drowning

Why is it so hard for me to stay on top of housework? What is wrong with me? Depression, anxiety, ADHD, parental trauma, chronic illness, postpartum, bereavement, lack of support…Cooking, cleaning, laundry and sometimes hygiene can become almost impossible during these struggles; yet, that is rarely the focus of books about these mental, physical and social barriers. Until now.
How to Keep House While Drowning introduces you to six life-changing principles that will revolutionize the way you approach home care—without endless to-do lists. Presented in short, readable chapters, this compassionate guide will help you begin to get free of the shame and anxiety you feel over home care.
Davis, a licensed professional counselor and mother of two, gave birth her second baby in a new city right as the world shut down due to COVID-19. Without access to a support network for months on end, she used every tool in her therapy training arsenal and created a self-compassionate way to address her stress, depression and ever-mounting laundry pile. After sharing her approach on social media, Davis quickly grew to over a million followers. She realized the shame over not being able to keep up with housework is universal, and that is why she wrote this book.
Who Deserves Your Love

Clear and compassionate, Who Deserves Your Love is a groundbreaking exploration of relationships and boundary-setting, whether you are dealing with family, friends or lovers.
Is love conditional? How do you navigate a relationship where someone’s best efforts are hurting you? When should you step away?
Plainspoken and practical, Davis explains how to make difficult decisions about relationships so that you protect yourself while still allowing others in.
Who Deserves Your Love explores how to distinguish mistreatment from abuse and how vulnerability and personal history can cause—and solve—interpersonal struggles. With radical honesty, Davis shows how to determine who deserves your time and love, and who may not. Ultimately, you will be able to make decisions that will protect you from hurtful relationships and attract healthy ones.
Who Deserves Your Love is transformative and affirming. We all deserve to find and keep healthy relationships and to let go of the ones that hurt, and that is what Davis will show you how to do.
