Back again to present at our Signature Series, Keith O'Brien will talk about his new book, Heartland. All about the infamous Larry Bird and the Indiana State Sycamores, this book draws on hundreds of hours of interviews and unprecedented access. O'Brien traces the path of how two coaches, one older and one overlooked, helped a forgotten young man find himself and a team face some of the most improbable odds in the history of American sports.
O'Brien, who also authored Charlie Hustle and Fly Girls, brings the authority of a historian and the pacing of a novelist to his books. You will not want to miss the chance to hear from him in person!
