Fast Track

Fast Track formed following the retirement of long-time Cardinal Tradition band leader David Parmley. Three of the four members decided to form the band and sought to fill the remaining spots, mandolin and guitar, with instrumentalists who were also strong vocalists.

The five members of Fast Track are not only all highly decorated in awards from the IBMA and SPBGMA organizations, but are also veteran players on the Grand Ole Opry stage and have toured across the United States, Canada and Europe. Throughout their careers, they have collectively performed with, recorded on and participated in countless projects with bluegrass and country music royalty.

Fast Track’s members are: Dale Perry (banjo, bass vocals), Steve Day (fiddle, vocals), Ron Spears (bass, vocals), Jesse Brock (mandolin, vocals) and Duane Sparks (guitar, vocals).

“Their launch was greeted with tremendous interest within the bluegrass community,” wrote Bluegrass Today, “creating an immediate demand for a recording. […] this is a bunch to be reckoned with. And why wouldn’t they, made up of seasoned professionals at every position.”

Hailed for their traditional bluegrass sound, Fast Track debuted in late 2019 and already has two full-length albums under their belt, the most recent of which is titled Good News.
