Tales, Tunes & Tacos: A Hispanic Heritage Month Celebration
The Cold Spring Branch Welcomes You To Celebrate Your Fellow Community Members
From Sept. 15 through Oct. 15, the United States celebrates Hispanic Heritage Month. To commemorate this month, the library will host a new annual festival to recognize and honor our Hispanic and Latinx patrons: Tales, Tunes & Tacos. Join us at the Cold Spring Branch on Saturday, Sept. 26 from 11 am to 2 pm to celebrate Hispanic history and heritage.
The festivities kick off with a Spanish-bilingual story time, with free Spanish-bilingual books being given out, first-come, first-served. After this, take part in Hispanic and Latin-inspired art and games of Hispanic origin. Starting at 1 pm, get your groove on with Latin Folkloric music and dancing. You are sure to build up an appetite after all that dancing, so stop by Julia’s Taco Truck and snag a free taco while supplies last!
Help us start this tradition off right and celebrate the Hispanic and Latin culture on what is sure to be a fun and uplifting Saturday!
