Manga to Anime Club: ‘Bleach’ by Tite Kubo

Join us at the Alexandria Branch for Manga to Anime Club! Each month we read the first volume of a manga series and watch the first episode of the anime, then have a discussion about both. Light snacks will be provided.

For May, we will be discussing Bleach by Tite Kubo.

Ichigo Kurosaki, a high school student, obtains the powers of a Soul Reaper – a death personification similar to a Grim Reaper – from another Soul Reaper, Rukia Kuchiki. His new-found powers allow him to take on the duties of defending humans from evil spirits and guiding departed souls to the afterlife, and set him on journeys to various ghostly realms of existence.
