DIY Tutorial: Paper Airplanes
Here’s a guide on making a paper airplane and how to get the most fly-time out of your creation!
Supplies Needed
- Colorful paper or white paper and color pencils
- Stickers
- Ruler
Step 1
First, fold your piece of paper in half.
Step 2
Now that your paper is folded in half, make another fold about an inch down that runs horizontally from your first.
Step 3
Create triangles with the last fold at one end of the paper.
Step 4
Add stickers to different parts of your plane. Consider how this might change the trajectory or aerodynamics of your plane.
Step 5
Think about coloring your airplane. How much would that change its flying pattern, if at all? What else could you do to your airplane to change how it flies? Try testing different ideas by creating new planes, each with different sticker placements and color patterns to see how it changes the distance your plane will travel.
