Good news, Pokemon Go players – our Newport Branch is a Pokestop and Gym, our Carrico Branch is a Gym and our Cold Spring Branch is a Pokestop.
So, what does that mean? Our branches are hotspots for Pokemon.
Stop by, catch a few Pokemon, use our free Wi-Fi and check out a book or two.

Fort Thomas kid takes top prize at Minecraft brawl
A young Fort Thomas Minecrafter took home top prize at a Hunger Games-themed brawl.
At the May 9 Minecraft Club, 20 kids went head-to-head in a fight for Minecraft survival. The players faced monsters, possible starvation and the cunning of other players.
In the end, the last man standing was 7-year-old Henry. He took home an Ender Dragon Statue and epic bragging rights. Congratulations, Henry.

Xavier helps CCPL kids create Minecraft masterpieces
Last month, we had a packed house for Cold Spring’s Minecraft Club. The already popular program was bolstered by the news that librarians from Xavier University would be bringing technology that would allow the kids to create an item to be 3D printed in Xavier’s new Makerspace inside the McDonald Library.
