Going Digital: Preserving Your Memories

October is Photographer Appreciation Month—the perfect time to start preserving your memories for generations to come! Use the Alexandria Branch’s new photo scanner to digitize your family’s printed photos, negatives and slides. All you need to bring is your photos; the library will provide the scanner, software and a take-home flash drive.

Due to time constraints, we will only be able to scan a limited number of photos. Please do not bring more than:

• 20 printed photos
• 8 color negatives
• 8 mounted 35 mm slides

Please choose your top two time slot preferences form the list below and type them into the “Special Needs” section of the registration form. Library staff will confirm your time slot via email. The time slots are as follows:

• 1:00-1:20 PM
• 1:20-1:40 PM
• 1:40-2:00 PM
• 2:00-2:20 PM
• 2:20-2:40 PM
• 2:40-3:00 PM
• 3:00-3:20 PM
• 3:20-3:40 PM
• 3:40-4:00 PM
