Manga to Anime Club: ‘Death Note’ by Tsugumi Ohba

Join us at the Alexandria Branch for Manga to Anime Club! This is a book club where we will read the first volume of a manga series each month and have a discussion about both the manga and the anime. Anyone who has read the manga or watched the anime is welcome! Light snacks will be provided.

For November, we will be discussing Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba (illustrated by Takeshi Obata.)

The story follows Light Yagami, a highly intelligent high school student who stumbles upon a supernatural notebook called the Death Note. This notebook grants its user the ability to kill anyone whose name is written in it, provided the writer knows the person’s face.
