Danielle visited Campbell County Middle School for the #CCMSReads book club. This month, we discussed the book Tumble. Many of the students said they didn’t love this book, and were able to explain to me that they don’t really enjoy realistic fiction. I commended them for knowing when a book isn’t right for them, and for being able to talk about what they didn’t enjoy, which is difficult to do! Next month, we will be reading The Last Cuentista by Donna Barba Higuera, which is a sci-fi which will make them cry. They were very excited to hear this. 🙂 They, like me, LOVE when books hurt their feelings!
