This month, we discussed Restart by Gordon Korman, which follows a middle school student named Chase who has total amnesia. Throughout the book, Chase learns that before his accident he was a notorious bully, and had even been arrested. The book follows his journey of “Restarting” his life and making amends with the people he formerly bullied. It was a very heartwarming story, and all the students loved it! They are all big fans of Gordan Korman, and suggested we read this book for the club since I had never read any of his books. They have helped me find a new author I enjoy! 🙂 I also passed out the books for next month’s discussion, which will cover Long Way Down by Jason Reynolds.
