I grew up in Covington. I have lived in Crestview Hills for the past 26 years with my husband, Richard, where we raised our two sons, Matthew and Patrick.
What is your favorite library memory?
When I was in high school I often took the bus from Holy Cross High School to 7th and Madison, and then walked down to the library in Covington to study or finish up homework. It was my quiet place to decompress at the end of the day.
• What is something a parent taught you that you still live by today?
“Success is no accident. It is constant hard work, perseverance, learning and studying; but most of all it is love of what you are doing.”
If you could spend a week anywhere in the world, where would it be and why?
I love to travel and explore in general, and it is hard for me to identify any one place as my favorite destination.
What’s the most unusual thing in your desk drawer?
I have a lot of unusual things in my office, but one of the items that gets the most comments is a 3D Hologram Optical Glass Dish that creates an illusory hologram of a pig. People try to pick up the pig, and well, it’s really not there – it’s just a mirror image of the pig that’s at the bottom of the dish. I also have a set of Captains of Star Trek bobble heads (except that someone kidnapped Captain Picard).
Please share a fun fact that people might be surprised to know about you.
Probably the fact that I have a holographic pig on my desk.
